Text Box: As the field of neurotechnology changes new companies and devices are introduced.  Here are a few recent developments.
The FDA recently approved the rechargeable spinal cord stimulation system from Medtronic.  Now there are three  such systems available to treat chronic pain.  The others are from Advanced Bionics and Advanced Neuromodulation Systems. 
ANS—Advanced Neuromodulation Systems announced FDA approval to begin trials to implant their deep brain stimulators for the treatment of essential tremor. 
Electrologic of America, manufacturer of the StimMaster and NeuroPlus surface stimulation devices is now bankrupt and closed their doors for business.
Zynex Medical announced a new clinical study with the Texas Institute for Rehabilitation & Research for the use of NeuroMove in the improvement of lower extremity movement after stroke. 
Aurex 3.03 a relief aid used to treat tinnitus, a hearing impairment is now available.                                Visit http://www.aurex3.com/
Cochlear recently unveiled the new Nucleus Freedom cochlear implant.  The Australian company received approval to distribute the device in both the US and Europe.  Visit http://www.cochlearamericas.com/
